Getting to know Ibiza’s beaches: Cala Jondal

On the south coast of Ibiza is Cala Jondal, a spectacular beach with round stones that has become famous due to Blue Marlin, the beach club which sits on its shore. Mark it on your map and enjoy one of the main advantages of renting a car in Ibiza: the possibility of discovering all those beaches that can’t be reached by using public transport. Also, by renting a car or a scooter you will be able to discover more than one beach in the same day as you can include most of them to one route.

What is Cala Jondal like?

Cala Jondal sits between two peaks of the south coast of Ibiza: Punta de Jondal and Punta de Porroig. Both these geographical features give it a unique scenic beauty that adds to its unspoilt character and clear waters. It measures 300 metres in length and its shore is composed by round stones, although offshore the seabed is mainly sand.

Our tip for Cala Jondal

If you are travelling with children, we recommend you go to the west of the beach, next to Tropicana beach bar. That area is more sandy and relaxed. To find this spot of the beach, don’t turn towards Blue Marlin’s car park, keep following the signs that will lead you to Tropicana beach bar.
