Visiting a different beach every day

If you are a curious family that isn’t satisfied by just visiting the same beach during all your holiday, when in Ibiza you are in luck. The island has many beaches, most of them very safe for children. This is due to the tranquility of its waters, with very few currents from the shore to the sea and also due to the shallow depth of the sea floor for the first few meters, which truly makes them like natural pools. A few perfect beaches to enjoy with the family are:

  • North: Portinatx, Port de Sant Miquel and Cala Sant Vicent (perfect when the wind isn’t blowing from the East)
  • East: Cala Llenya, Es Figueral, Cala Pada, Cala Llonga or Santa Eulária des Riu’s beach, the only beach on the island where smoking is banned
  • South: Ses salines and Es Niu Blau (also known as Sa Caleta)
  • West: Cala Vedella, Cala Tarida, Cala Bassa, Port des Torrent and Cala Gració.

It is a very interesting visit for the whole family. Its location is in Santa Eulària des Riu, at the farm they sometimes organize traditional Ibizan culinary courses.

Discovering the coast by kayak or paddle surf

A great number of beaches in Ibiza offer the possibility of practicing both sports along the coast. Caves, unspoilt beaches and curiously shaped rock formations will appear during your professionally guided tours, adapted to each participant’s skills. A perfect activity to be enjoyed with your teenage children! Amongst the companies that offer these activities are “La otra Ibiza” and “IbiKayak”.
