Car route along the west coast of Ibiza

The west of Ibiza has some of the most beautiful bays of the island, numerous locations where you can enjoy the Ibiza’s spectacular sunsets, good restaurants and a very diverse ambiance. Get into your car and discover this beautiful route!

  1. Sant Mateu d’Albarca

Coordenates: 39.039247, 1.383100

The village itself has little to do beyond seeing its traditional, beautiful church, but heading there is a good excuse to discover charming valleys covered with vineyards, almond, fig and carob trees. The most unspoilt side of Ibiza.

  1. Santa Agnés

Coordenate: 39.038276, 1.336071

Another charming village and the drive there is just as nice. Its main highlights are: the beautiful and simple church, the farm houses surrounding bar Can Cosmi (where you must try their vegetable omelette) and the spectacular views from Sa Penya Esbarrada viewpoint.

  1. Sant Antoni de Portmany

Coordenates:  38.980863, 1.303939

Depending on when you visit Sant Antoni de Portmany (San Antonio), it will be interesting to go to one point or another. In any case, do not miss its fortified church, its long promenade, the artistic graffiti that decorate a dozen facades in the centre, the sunset from the cafes around Ses Variades and Cala Gració’s beautiful cave.

  1. Cala Bassa

Coordenates:  38.967881, 1.239818

Surrounded by a forest of pines and junipers, this beautiful virgin cove is sheltered from the wind. It almost seems like a natural pool and it usually has very diverse people visit it.

  1. Platges de Comte

Coordenates: 38.962903, 1.220170

One of the most famous and beautiful beaches of Ibiza. The wide range of colours of the waters from this set of coves attracts many visitors, but also the sunsets you will see there. At one end of the beach there are two well-known restaurants that specialize in seafood: S`illa des Bosc and Ses Roques. There is one inconvenient though, it is often quite crowded –with little space – and the presence of jelly fish is very common.

  1. Sant Josep de sa Talaia

Coordenates: 38.921874, 1.293043

Although in recent years it has grown a bit, Sant Josep has managed to preserve the essence of Ibiza. With a wide range of cafes, bars and restaurants, it has a good atmosphere in the evenings. Do not miss seeing the church.

  1. Cala d’Hort

Coordenates: 38.890043, 1.224353

It is one of the most famous beaches of the island due to the fabulous views overlooking the islets of Es Vedrà and Es Vedranell from the shore. The cove has a tendency to receive the unwanted visit of jellyfish, but the paella and amazing views from El Carmen restaurant make the drive worthwhile.

  1. Sant Agustí des Vedrà

Coordenates:  38.941043, 1.293867

This is the perfect enclave where you can finish your visit along the west of Ibiza. This village, an excellent stop for summer evenings, just has a beautiful church and two great restaurants: Can Berri Vell, which offers haute cuisine, and Bar Can Berri, with fusion dishes, delicious barbecue and a pleasant outdoor garden.
