Can Tixedó Art-Café: tapas bar in Ibiza

This bar sits at a junction and it has become one of the best roadside bars in Ibiza for two reasons: it has kept a strong local atmosphere and on its menu there is a wide range of very appetizing servings, suitable for lunch or dinner. Can Tixedó is also an ideal stop to have a coffee in the morning or a slice of homemade cake as an afternoon snack while having a conversation with friends or just people watching.

Besides its gastronomic offer and chilled ambiance, this singular meeting point also stands out for its support to artists –both local and foreign ones-, as it offers them their walls to showcase their artwork throughout temporary exhibitions. These exhibitions change every three weeks, so it is always interesting to go to Can Tixedó to see what is new inside.

Over 50 years of history

Can Tixedó has over half a century of history and during all these years it has been a meeting point for neighbours of Buscastell due to its adjacent supermarket and its location at the junction between Sant Rafel and Santa Agnès and Sant Antoni and Santa Gertrudis. For the past few years it has gotten quite busy during Saturday mornings, when the Forada market takes place. In front their terrace is a small chapel called Capilla de la Purísima, which was built in 1965 and designed by the architect Josep Ribas González. This restaurant is located at just a 5 minute car or scooter drive from San Antonio and the drive is along a pleasant side road that passes by vineyards and fields.
