Saturdays is the best day to visit markets in Ibiza, as this is the day of the week when three distinctive markets are held all year round. It’s very easy to reach all of them in your rental car, so make a note and head towards either of them during any Saturday of the year. And discover your next favourite market…

Forada market

This market is held each Saturday at Forada, which is an enclave between Sant Rafel and Santa Agnès, is a home-grown fruit and vegetable market where you can also by homemade pastries, jam and traditional craftsmanship. Once you are done at the market, across the road you can try Can Tixedó’s tasty tapas; or grilled meat from Can Pilot in Sant Rafel; or Can Ramonet’s toasts, on the road towards San Antonio. The market’s opening hours is from 10:00 am until 16:00 pm.

Sant Jordi market

As well as the numerous markets that take place on the island during the summer, Ibiza has got its own second-hand market, in Sant Jordi, where you will find clothes, records, furniture, antiques, books, novelty items… It takes place in the mornings at Sant Jordi’s old racetrack (mercadillodesantjordi.com) and its atmosphere is very local, as anyone can have their own stand if they previously book a spot. The premises also have a big car park where you can easily park your rental car. After a walk around the market, you can eat a pizza at Es tancó, a burger at Can Sala or try a Mediterranean dish from Rasca Lobos.

Las Dalias market

This is the island’s legendary market which you must visit the first time you travel to Ibiza and even on following occasions too. This market’s range of stands includes anything from fashion to books, homemade crafts and local gastronomy products. You can eat at the outside patio while listening to live music or you can go to Can Anita, in Sant Carles, or at Fonda Pou des Lleó, near to the beach which it’s been named after. Las Dalias market is near Sant Carles de Peralta and has various car parks, so you will be able to easily go in your rental car.
