Getting to know Ibiza’s beaches: Aigües Blanques
Ibiza has a huge number of beaches and unspoiled coves along the whole of its coastline. One of the nicest is the sandy area of Aigües Blanques, located on the eastern coast of the island and traditional nudist refuge. If you are thinking about hiring a car in Ibiza during your stay, include this beach on your route and enjoy one of the nicest coastal corners on the island.
You will like it if…
– You are keen on nackedness. Although nowadays it is frequent to see bathers in bathing costume, it´s still one of the traditional nudist settlements on the island.
– You are fond of natural surroundings. The cove is fringed by cliffs and from there you have very nice views over the nearby islets.
– You prefer to have a nap in the shadow. Due to its orientation, during the summer the sun hides behind the cliffs at the very beginning of the evening. So, take it into account if you are looking for just the opposite: to get a tun you have to go in the morning.
– You want to get to know the North of Ibiza. Aigües Blanques is located in the eastern coast of Ibiza, almost in its Northest corner. The road that leads to the beach from Sant Carles discovers a peacefull valley full of carob trees, almond trees and fig trees. From Aigües Blanques you can lead direction Cala de Sant Vicent or Es Figueral beach, another of our favourite.
The months of July and August it has a fairly high occupancy rates and frequently it´s run out of parking spaces. It´s not worth going there if you don´t arrive there very early in the morning or at the very beginning of the evening.
Avoid it if…
You are travelling with elder people or children in strollers. The descent from the car park to the shore it´s quite pronounced and the ascent can be a bit difficult for the elderly.
