Getting to know Ibiza’s beaches: Es Figueral

Es Figueral is one of the most beautiful beaches in Ibiza and one of the most attractive ones if you are travelling as a family. It is surrounded by pine trees and juniper trees and it has the beauty of an unspoilt beach and the tranquility of a beach without a beach club. Where can I find it?

Es Figueral is on the east coast of Ibiza, 10 km away from Santa Eulalia, 25 km away from Portinatx and 26 km away from Ibiza city. The road which leads to it through small valleys still shows farming terraces where, in the old days, they used to grow cereal.

You will especially like it if…

–You are looking for somewhere quiet: if you want to read a book without the music from a beach club in the background, Es Figueral is a beach where you must lay your towel. It’s even better if you are staying in the north.

–You want to eat at the beach: you will find Las Dalias’ “El Chiringuito” and the “Es Alocs hostal” restaurant. We like the latter one because of the great service and local feel and because it’s shaded terrace is a lovely place to have an afternoon coffee.

–You are addicted to Instagram: at Es Figueral you will have plenty of chances to take great shots of your holidays. There are many islets in the horizon, clear waters, pine tree woods, cliffs in the background…

–You are travelling with young children: its gentle slope in the sea and fine sand make it ideal for the whole family to enjoy, as it is very safe for children to swim.

–You don’t want to carry your swimsuit: if you want to practice nudism, this beach is spacious enough for this. In any event, don’t forget that in Spain this is legal at every beach.

–You would like to combine the beach with other activities: in the proximities of Es Figueral you will find other beaches and interesting places such as “Bar Anita” in Sant Carlos (don’t forget to try their herb liqueur), the stunning Cala Boix and the remote Sant Vicent church, where you will feel as if you are in a different Ibiza at its plaza.
