Can I book or rent a car in Ibiza without a credit card?

To formalize a booking on our website or directly through a member of staff it is necessary to provide credit card details and its expiry date. This information is required in case you do not show up for your rental without having made a cancellation, in which case we would charge you the penalty of one day of rental. Once in Ibiza, the client may pay whichever way he prefers, that is by using a credit card, a debit card or cash.

It is also necessary to provide a credit card if you would like to make partial payment or full payment of your booking on our website in order to make the most of special online discounts for bookings paid in advance. However, you will not need to have a credit card if you do not have a booking and rent a car directly at our office in San Antonio, which remains open all year round. At Moto Luis we take Visa, Vista Electron, MasterCard, Maestro and American Express.

Can I rent a car with a debit card?

If you do not own a credit card or simply do not wish to use it during your holiday in Ibiza, you may also rent a car or a scooter with a debit card once you arrive at our office. In this case, you will pay for the excess (unless you take out our all in one full insurance) and the cost of a tank of fuel in case you do not return your vehicle full of fuel. Both the excess and the fuel deposit will be reimbursed to you there and then when you return your car, and we will give you proof of the refund. Can I rent a car and pay for it with cash?

Although we always advise our clients to pay with a credit or debit card for safety reasons, we make it easy for you to pay with cash if you prefer. In these cases, the cash payment can only cover the cost of the rental; the excess or the deposit must be paid on a card.
