Getting to know Ibiza’s beaches: Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta

One of the most beautiful beaches in Ibiza is very close to our San Antonio office: Cala Salada. Within only a few minutes by car you will reach this unspoilt family-friendly beach. We will now give you a few tips so you can decide whether you will include it amongst your musts during your holiday in Ibiza.

You will like Cala Salada if…

-You are searching for a family-friendly beach with no beach club music in the background J

-You would like to eat paella for lunch: on the beach there is a restaurant which has been there for decades and they specialize in paellas and seafood. It is called Cala Salada, just like the beach and it is the only one there so there is no missing it.

-You love unspoilt beaches. Both Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta (right next to each other) have no buildings in its surroundings other than two small private houses. The rest of the scenery consists of pine tree valleys and small, traditional fishermen’s boatyards

-You want to be able to see your toes. Cala Saladeta’s waters are cristal clear, you will feel as if you are in a natural swimming pool.

-You don’t mind making a small effort. Cala Saladeta does not have an easy access. You can only reach it following the path along the cliff which begins at the pink house or you can climb the rocks if you are agile enough to do this.

What we suggest

Since last year, there is limited access to Cala Salada by car as the road gets cut off between 10 am and 6 pm. During this time-frame you will have to park your car at the Can Coix car park to take the bus which connects both points. If you don’t fancy getting early to the beach but you don’t want to miss this beach eather, we recommend that you take the San Antonio bus or that you get there around the coast, by taking the Ulises Cat boat that departs from the port of San Antonio.
